    Brian, “Christian” Hypocrite?

Note: This piece of article was posted at The James Hartline Report Blog, these are his views about Brian not ours and we completely disagree his thoughts. You can discuss and review this post by commenting.

Backstreet Boy Backstabs Christianity – Brian Littrell, America’s Biggest “Christian” Hypocrite Mocks Christians at the 2010 San Francisco Gay Pride.

Backstreet Boy Backstabs Christianity – Brian Littrell, America’s Biggest “Christian” Hypocrite Mocks Christians at the 2010 San Francisco Gay Pride Parade. He is flip flopping his Christianity so much that churchgoers will have a difficult time deciding whether they are watching Brian Littrell perform for TBN or simply playing ping pong with the Bible.

After earning millions of dollars as the lead singer with the global boy band The Back Street Boys, Brian Littrell found a new audience to pimp his musical talents: gospel television and Rick Warren’s megachurch Saddleback. Whether he’s performing on Trinity Broadcasting Television or providing his church history to Christian newspaper reporters, Littrell has perpetrated one of the biggest spiritual frauds on evangelical youth in recent history. Perhaps it is his Saddleback Church ideology that has convinced Littrell he can claim the benefits of the eternal cross of Jesus Christ at the same time he mocks Christ and dances with the San Francisco Gay Pride demons.

During a 2006 interview titled ‘Give Glory Where Glory is Due’ Brian Littrell told a Christian reporter that he doesn’t compromise his “faith” or “beliefs” to accomodate the entertainment industry:

I’ve never not wanted to be public about it. There was a Rolling Stone [magazine] article that the Backstreet Boys did several years ago and the photographer wanted to take a picture of us with 50 young ladies in the background who were not even dressed—they were supposed to be completely nude. My faith played a big role in not taking that picture with the rest of the guys because at that time I was happily married—still am happily married—and I didn’t want to compromise my faith and who I was as a person and my beliefs, just because some photographer wanted to take a picture in Rolling Stone magazine painting this picture of what he thought the Backstreet Boys were. I’ve been tested a lot like that in the secular world—people asking me to compromise my faith to do things and I won’t do it.

With the money drying up, Littrell and The Backstreet Boys are back to entertaining the secular arena in 2010. They also performed in the immoral and disgusting 2010 San Francisco Gay Pride event. And Brian Littrell – having cast aside his previous claims in the Christian media of being true to his “faith” – proudly and idiotically rode in the 2010 pornographic San Francisco Gay Pride Parade that features perverted men dressed up as Nuns mocking the Catholic Church and contingents of transvestites, homosexual pornographic businesses and same-sex marriage activists.

The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away. And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

This guy needs to get a life and realise that Brian can’t back out of things that the band is supposed to appear at/in. His presence there doesn’t mean anything, its in his job description!!!!

    2. AJPoopy says:

I think this guy needs broaden his range of what he thinks is “christian,” I have never heard Brian say that because he’s Christian, he can’t accept gays. Brian is a human being. I’m pretty sure the first rule of being Christian is to love, stop hating “reporter.”

    3. Jeannette says:

I agree with Niky here. Nobody has the right to judge anybody or say anything about anybody. GOD doesn’t like that, go there and do your job well without any attack to others. I support Brian and I don’t see anythig wrong about him being there. I suport him, I have been for the last 15 years of my life.

    4. Tara says:

Another reason why I HATE organized religions… you can have faith in christ as well as hold your own beliefs without following a system of rules and ridiculousness… This is why almost 12 years of catholic schools I have completely rejected everything Ive learned and traded in for my own thought of faith. hold everything i believe and still believe in a God in a God that just wants us to love one another and treat eachother with kindness and teaches peace…its people like this writer who need o walk in someone elses shoes before they open their mouthes/type a stupid article without thinking….

    5. ad_neaseum says:

Wow, that guy sounds like he has a lot of rage he needs to deal with. I don’t know what weird branch of Christianity this guy practises, but I was raised Catholic, in a Catholic school and I was taught that “God” loved all people, of all sexes, creeds, colours and nations. As far as I know, it’s the same God with more or less the same Bible?? God forgives all sins and grants EVERYONE eternal peace. I do not believe that God really gives a crap if you are gay or straight, as long as you are moral and virteous in your behaviour and conduct. “Doing the Right Thing” in a situation is not contingent on one’s sexual preference. As Lady Ga Ga (or Lady Gay Gay LOL) said – “Loving is NEVER wrong” and I agree. Gays are just as capable and deseving of the loving family unit as heterosexuals are. We’re here to help and support each other. Enjoy life.
Moreoever, Brian is being blamed for other individuals choice of dress? Get real. Who cares what a grown man chooses to wear? How can Brian be expected to know what people were planning to wear to the parade? Is this guy serious? I got like a 55% in Philosophy in Univ. but even *I* know that kind of thinking is full of fallacies and devoid of logic.
I think the documentary “Jesus Camp” more or less sums up thinking like this….tragic, and frightening. There are more people like this guy in the States than Canada has total population!
The more I read international news the more I LOVE Canada.

    6. Lauren says:

Wow…this was comical. Brian is one of the few outspoken Christians out there (the fundamentalists always seem to be the loudest – he’s not one though) who actually has common sense and helps me not want to pull my hair out over the craziness of the others. A vocal minority (the gay bashing “Christians”) does not a majority make, especially when it comes to calling other human beings who simply love differently “demons”.
I actually wasn’t sure how he felt about GLBT people until now, and although I didn’t get to hear him say anything about it (the other 3 were interviewed but not him as far as I can find), the fact that he was there makes me like him even more :)

    7. Amanda says:

Brian posted a comment on his twitter that I think is so relevant here. He said let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Hate is not a religion. I was proud of all of the guys for taking part in this event.

    8. Melissa says:

Is this guy for real? I cant stand it when people hide behind a religon to show thier commimitent to God!! I really dont think God is up there passing judgment on people for who they love.

    9. Maryann says:

Leave Brian L. ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian’s being supportive to his religion and the gay pride parade. He’s doing what he loves to do and the another guy is being PREJUDGEMENTAL!!!!!!!!! I THINK EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP BEING SOOOOOOOOOO PREJUDGEMENTAL!!!!!!!!!!!

    10. ana maria says:
